“Fidelity to Truth” Gala

On February 27, 2026, the “Fidelity to Truth” gala took place at the headquarters of the NSZZ Solidarność Mazowsze Region in Warsaw. It was organized by the Father Jerzy Popiełuszko “Dobro” Foundation in cooperation with the NSZZ “Solidarność” Mazowsze Region.

The ceremony was an expression of gratitude to those who contributed in a special way to the design and support of the Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko Museum and to the promotion of his legacy. The “Fidelity to Truth” medal was awarded to Piotr Gliński, Jacek Sasin, Przemysław Czarnek, Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, Magdalena Kopka-Wojciechowska, Marcin Chludziński, Artur Kosicki, and Lesław Majewski.

The event was honored by the band Wataha pod Biało-Czerwoną (Wave of the White and Red), led by Rafał Staniszewski. The gala was hosted by Katarzyna Ciepielewska and Karol Gnat.

The “Fidelity to Truth” medal was commissioned by the Foundation to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko and is presented on the anniversary of his first Holy Mass for his homeland. This special distinction honors his courage, fidelity to truth, and steadfast stance, which remains an inspiration for generations to come.
