10 Years of the Father Jerzy Popiełuszko “Dobro” Foundation

Today marks exactly 10 years since the establishment of our Foundation—10 years of service, remembrance, and goodness inspired by the life and teachings of Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko.

Over this decade, together with you, we have accomplished many beautiful works:

Since 2017, on the second weekend of September, we have met in Suchowola and Okopy, Father Jerzy’s hometown, to celebrate his birth anniversary.

On the 75th anniversary of Father Jerzy’s birth, Piotr Rubik performed the concert “Psalms from Podlasie”—it was his premiere.

In December 2019, we proudly presented the exhibition “Father Jerzy’s Decalogue” in Rome and had the honor of meeting with Pope Francis.

On the 40th anniversary of Father Jerzy’s martyrdom, we organized an extraordinary concert in Suchowola, “Psalms from Podlasie,” by Piotr Rubik, which touched the hearts of thousands.

We have begun construction of the Father Jerzy Popiełuszko Museum in Okopy – a place that will soon become a space of remembrance, reflection, and spiritual gathering.

This year also saw the first national convention of schools named after Father Jerzy Popiełuszko – a gathering of young people who continue to carry his message.

During these 10 years, many exhibitions about Father Popiełuszko have been created, which we co-created. We are delighted to have this opportunity to spread his devotion.
